ViGlazeTx is a transparent screen comprising high density red, green and blue (RGB) light emitting diodes (LED) clusters, the equivalent of high powered pixels in a conventional computer/TV screen. The resolution is determined by how close the RGB LED clusters (pixels) are to each other and the resolution required is determined by the distance the target audience will be from the ViGlazeTx screen. The clusters are interconnected via a fine micro electric circuit placed on a glass “motherboard”. The power required depends on the brightness of the LEDs that is in turn determined by whether the display is for day and/or night use and how far the target audience is from the screen. Each transparent LED board is networked with others to create a giant transparent video screen on a wall, facade, etc. Information displayed is controlled through bespoke hardware and software drivers and advertising display content can be changed at an instant as and when requirement by the advertiser or property manager.

ViGlazeTx does not interfere with the light coming into the building or the view from the building during the day or night due to the small size of the system footprint. The display will not bother the inhabitants of the building while advertisements are in progress at day or night due to the fact that the LEDs are facing outwards behind non-reflective glass. Skyline advertising may be placed on the top of the buildings, where opaque billboards may not be permitted, without interruption of the landscape or cityscape view during the day and can be used as an active screen at night. The internal transparent walls or boards can incorporate the ViGlazeTx system and be used for transmitting information without obstructing the ability to see the other side of the screen or barrier.

ViGlazeTx systems do not require special mountings or support structures as other systems do as it is incorporated into the glazing of the building. ViGlazeTx systems mainly differ from the range of similar products on the market (LED billboards, LED curtains and nets incorporating LED) by its transparency level. LED billboards are completely opaque structures, LED curtains contain thick rails on which LED clusters are mounted and thus provide a transparency level of about 60%, LED nets interfere with the aesthetics of a buildings exterior and are not protected from the environment. ViGlazeTx provides a 90 to 97% transparency level which is far greater than alternative products on the market to date, and ViGlazeTx can be integrated into the buildings glazing system

Technical support will be provided to the operator of the building/licensee which will involve the maintenance and repair on the actual system inside the glass pack within a warrantee period or outside of the warrantee period for an extra charge. Quality control of the ViGlazeTx system with the glazing integration process will need to be centrally controlled.

The ViGlazeTx technology combined with the revenue model provides the “sustainable breakthrough value proposition”. The patents do and will safeguard the transparent digital media revenue as it gives exclusivity to this market and the value proposition is that under utilised spaces or surfaces that are currently cost centres can be turned into profit centres in high traffic areas.
